Luminous Stratus is a ceiling-mounted lighting fixture designed for airport gate lounges. Inspired by the view from an airplane
window, this light fixture features multiple layers of cloud-shaped panels and several hanging origami ornaments that evoke the feeling
of flight.
This fixture can be repeated along a long hallway to encourage guest flow when needed, leading them to their gates. The whimsical
design invites guests to look up from their phones and to interact with the world around them. The hanging ornaments will amuse
traveling families.
Each cloud panel is illuminated by LED COB strips to resemble the light seen shining through clouds. The panels are covered with
acoustic felt on both sides to absorb noise and reduce reverberant time, because airports have a lot of noise. The ornaments are
made of clear Acrylic and illuminated with an LED light to highlight the edges of the ornament.
